Both the kids have always liked helping me out in the kitchen. But recently Caleb has taken it to the next level. He is working on authoring his first cookbook.
After doing some Thanksgiving shopping, I had some cans of pumpkin out on the counter, and apparently the pumpkin inspired him to write his own recipe. So he sat down and wrote this:
"Caleb's Yummiest Muffins"
1 teespoon of shuger
3 cups of backing powder
3 cups of water
2 cups of flax
1 can of pumpcin
3 shacs of solt
1 and a haf of flower
2 cups of choclet chips
Ster.
Back for 29 minutes.
He was dying to try out his new recipe, so we did! Though I did encourage a couple of minor adjustments. Like I don't happen to have 3 cups of baking powder on hand. Anyway, they weren't bad! We all enjoyed them with dinner.
And since that was such a success, he wrote another recipe today. This one is called "Caleb's Big Volcano". We made it tonight. It is basically playdough with a whole lot of chocolate chips. Shaped like a volcano. With red icing. Come on over and you can have a slice!
